In May 2011, I established DH Scaffold Services Ltd following a long career in engineering. I was involved in designing structural concrete, structural steel then scaffold design in 1999.

Why I Love What I Do
Every day provides me with new challenges. Each project has different aspects that need to be tackled using different methods.

Interests outside work
I take our dog, Teddy, for walks and like to jog. I also like a few beers on the weekend.

Favourite drink
A pint of lager, occasionally a southern comfort and coke.

Favourite car
Range Rover Sports, Audi Q7’s and Porsche Cayenne.

Nicknames
Bart Simpson and Ginger Ninja, both due to my hair colour, plus I used to kickbox!

Joan Collins because I used to wear a blouse with a broach on it (I was 11) or Kylie because I looked like Kylie Minogue when I was at school.

Michael Christy, Trainee Design Engineer

I started out as a plasterer and gained an interest in design. I  returned to college to complete a Level 3 in Construction and went on to study a degree in Architectural Technology at Sheffield Hallam University. There I learnt design and software.

Why I Love What I Do
I want to expand my knowledge within the industry, and hopefully, this is the start of a long and successful career at DH Scaffold Services Ltd.

Interests outside work
Love spending quality time with the family. Also, socialising and watching football.

Steve Kennedy

Background
Graduated from Sheffield Hallam University in 2018 after studying mechanical engineering. I started university age 26 to pursue a career in engineering. Have worked as a process engineer at a couple of big-name food manufacturers and moved into design engineering as that is what I enjoyed the most at university.

Why I Love What I Do
Every project is unique and face new challenges every day. Time flies by when you’re focused on solving a design problem.

Elliot Goodison

Background
I went straight into a three-year craft apprenticeship from school studying engineering mechanical manufacturing, from there I learned to operate a wide range of machines both CNC and manual, before making a change to get into design engineering.

Why I Love What I Do
I love dealing with new challenges every day and this job really gives you that opportunity. I’m excited to delve deeper into this industry and continue to push myself and progress more and more each day.

Interests outside work
In my own time I enjoy going to the gym, hiking, watching films and socialising with friends and family.
